Overview
A boutique digital agency with 8 team members was juggling clients, projects, and invoices across Notion, Sheets, and WhatsApp. The founder was spending 3+ hours a week just on status updates and billing. They needed an internal operations hub that was actually pleasant to use.
The Challenge
Internal tools are notoriously hard to design. They need to be dense and functional without feeling like enterprise software. The agency also had a complex billing model — fixed-fee projects, hourly retainers, and milestone-based invoices — all of which needed to coexist.
What We Built
We built a multi-view dashboard: Clients (CRM-lite), Projects (Kanban + list), Team (workload allocation), and Finance (P&L by month). Supabase RLS ensures each team member only sees their assigned work. Stripe handles all invoice types with automated reminders via Resend.
The Outcome
The agency reduced weekly admin time from 3 hours to under 30 minutes. They productized the dashboard and started selling it to other agency owners — it now generates more than their average client contract.
